Seasonal Programs
Gateway Baptist Academy offers students the opportunity to improve on their public speaking presentations by providing seasonal programs. These programs are designed to encourage families with the abilities their students are gifted with. Patriotic and Christmas programs are annual occurrences. Fine Arts Chapels and Kindergarten programs also showcase the skills students have attained throughout the year.
Fine Arts
Every spring, our students are afforded the opportunity to sharpen their talents by being a part of the West Coast Baptist Fine Arts Competition in Lancaster, California. Students in Grade 4 thru 12 compete in areas of Bible, music, art, academics, graphic design, speech, chess, and much more. It is a wonderful experience that encourages students to use and improve their talents for the Lord.
To prepare for the competition, various Fine Arts classes will taught to the students three hours each week. Teachers will train students in the areas of Bible, speech, music, chess, and much more to help determine their various talents and gifts.
Physical Education
GBA students are encouraged to properly care for their body so that they can more effectively serve the Lord. Our physical education does just that. It’s more than just playing and learning a sport, but it helps them recognize the importance of physical fitness. Special events such as the “Salsa Bowl” and the “Gilbert Cup” make P.E. more than just another class.
Life Skills Program
Every student who seeks to graduate from the high school program of Gateway Baptist Academy must complete the Life Skills Program. The program is designed to prepare every graduate for most of the challenges they will face in their young adult life. Basic skills in the area of finances, home care, automotive, employment, communications, emergency medicine, and many more will be taught on a regular basis at GBA.
